After another year of consistently quality-driven, diverse and enjoyable youth theatre, the Youth Panel commend all the young companies who worked so hard to entertain the people of Manchester, express themselves and develop their craft in 2015.

On The Town, from RNCM Youth Perform at the Royal Northern College of Music was eye-catching for its spectacular entertainment value and the truly impressive professional standards of its young performers

For allowing a broad spectrum of young voices to be heard on the topics most important to them, and for a lively and varied evening TaY Talks, Truth about Youth at the Royal Exchange was also nominated.

The Wardrobe, from Octagon Youth Theatre at the Octagon in Bolton, presented a nuanced and mature approach to complex issues. The cast also added their own scene which fitted seamlessly into the original script

Similarly The Shrine of Everyday Things, from Contact Young Company at Contact had polished attention to detail in presenting a unique concept. The young cast also showed skill in performing under some unusual conditions and it is their production that is the winner in this category.
